The function of the PTA is to support the faculty, staff, parents, and especially the students at Shady Brook
Elementary. This is accomplished in several ways - through classroom volunteers, fundraising and sponsorship of programs and activities. Our goal this year is two-fold; one is to increase communications throughout the school
community, especially between the teachers and PTA and the second is to increase parent participation in the PTA. Membership
dues only cover a small amount of our cost, and portions of these dues are sent to National and State PTA organizations.
To meet these goals we will have membership drives, fundraisers, volunteer opportunities and family orientated programs throughout
the year.
We look forward to working with all of you to make this year an exceptional one
for Shady Brook. Each one of us has the potential to make a difference in the level of education our children receive
and by joining the PTA, you will be making a positive impact in your child's life.
